This breaks down mould, mildew, lichen and moss at the source, with controlled chemical dwell and a full rinse for an even, streak free finish. High pressure has no place on a roof. It strips the surface of tiles, forces water under the laps and shortens the life of the roof. Our roof treatment is a soft wash applied at the right strength to kill the growth at the root, on terracotta and concrete tiles, Colorbond and metal roofs alike.

Biocide treatment

For roofs with heavy growth we can add a residual biocide treatment. It is sprayed on and left on the surface rather than rinsed off, so it keeps working after we leave and kills mould, lichen and moss at the root, with the roof continuing to improve over the following weeks.

Good to know

Heavy growth can take some weeks to break down and wash away in the rain.
Tiles that have lost their surface coating will look cleaner, but a treatment cannot bring the coating back.
Staining from rust, oxidation or older roof materials may need separate treatment and may not be fully removed during the wash.
On aged roof coatings, chalking may remain visible after cleaning. This reflects the age of the coating rather than the result of the wash.

No. Our roof wash is a soft wash applied at the right strength to kill moss, lichen and mould at the root, with no high pressure on the roof surface. It is safe for terracotta and concrete tiles, Colorbond and metal roofs.

When will I see the results?

Results are visible on the same day. The treatment keeps working after we leave, so heavy growth continues to break down and wash away in the rain over the following weeks.

Is my rainwater tank safe?

Yes. Protecting rainwater tanks during roof cleaning is part of our standard setup, along with bagging and taping electrics and securing ladders with proper locks.

Can you clean second storey or high areas?

Yes. We can reach up to four storeys from the ground, and our equipment and technique let us clean tricky spots effectively.

What safety precautions do you take?

We bag and tape all electrics, cover outdoor furniture and TVs with tarps and drop sheets, use harnesses whenever working on a roof, protect rainwater tanks during roof cleaning and secure ladders with proper locks. We typically spend 30 to 90 minutes purely on setup and a full safety check of your property.

Will the chemicals affect my plants or pets?

No. We use a low-percentage mix and thoroughly rinse all vegetation before, during and after the wash, with tarps where needed for added protection. We simply ask that pets stay indoors while we are working. Once the service is finished, it is completely safe for them to go back outside.

Do I need to be home during the service?

You do not need to be home. As long as we have the right access, we can handle everything. We will ask for any instructions needed to access the property if you will not be home.
