Our house wash removes mould, algae, mildew, dirt and cobwebs from the outside of your home with a soft wash system. No high pressure on delicate surfaces, just the right chemistry applied by our own trained technicians.
Soft washing combines low pressure with a cleaning solution that is safe for paint, render, cladding, weatherboard and timber. The result is a noticeably fresher, brighter exterior without the risk of damage that high pressure can cause on delicate surfaces. Every house wash comes with a 12 month regrowth warranty: if mould, algae or moss comes back within 12 months, we return and treat it again at no cost.

Free exterior window clean with every house wash
We use pure filtered water to scrub and rinse the glass, which dries spot free and streak free with no minerals or impurities. Clean walls with dirty windows do not meet our standard, so we include it at no cost. This covers standard house windows; skylights and pool glass are quoted separately.
Good to know
- Outdoor BBQs and kitchens are cleaned around, not cleaned themselves, and we do not clean outdoor furniture.
- Flyscreens and security screens are rinsed in place. If you take them off before we arrive, we will happily give them a deep clean.
- Timber decks are rinsed with water only. A proper deck clean is a separate service.
- Roofs, fences, driveways and retaining walls are not part of the house wash unless they are quoted. If you would like anything added, just ask.
- A house wash removes organic growth and surface grime. It will not fix paint flaking, oxidation, rust, paint overspray, efflorescence or calcium deposits, which need specialised restoration.
- If you have a pool, some water or cleaning runoff can get into it when we clean nearby. We keep it to a minimum and recommend running the filter or giving it a skim after we leave.
How a Dript house wash runs
- Assess and protect. We walk the property, note the surfaces and anything delicate, then bag and tape the electrics, cover outdoor furniture and TVs, and rinse the garden. Setup and a full safety check take 30 to 90 minutes.
- Apply. The soft wash solution goes on at low pressure, mixed to the dilution each surface needs: one strength for render, another for painted timber.
- Dwell. The solution is left to work, killing mould, algae and lichen at the root rather than smearing it around.
- Rinse. Everything is rinsed from the top down, walls, eaves, downpipes, frames, with the garden rinsed again as we go.
- Windows. The exterior glass is scrubbed and rinsed with purified water, so it dries spot free.
- Walk-through. We walk the property with you, send before and after photos of every elevation, and you pay only once you are happy.
